Systems/PC Analyst II (SCADA) - Water Resources Department [53332 - 88871] USF Innovative Education is an academic support unit that partners with USF's colleges to develop, market and recruit students into the university's most innovative programs. Services include online faculty development, online course design and development, program development, marketing, recruitment, admissions support and related services.


Position Summary

The Enrollment Management Specialist provides front-line information and advice regarding Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE) programs (general curriculum information, registration process, program requirements and others) and assists in recruitment. This position provides information in person, via e-mail, one-on-one, or in groups, while maintains and reviews current student program progress.


Responsibilities

This is professional, technical, operational and analytical work with the City’s Water Resources Department, responsible for developing and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Work includes developing and supporting Wonderware SCADA software and hardware systems in an enterprise wide manufacturing environment; communicating highly technical information in a clear and concise manner; troubleshooting SCADA, real-time data, and control systems; documenting and extending the functionality of the control systems of primary production systems; providing production efficiency and performance metrics for entire production lines; implementing process/production monitoring and product quality controls, including network integration and SCADA interface, on new and existing production systems.


Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must possess a two-year Associate's degree from an accredited college including completion of some college level coursework in computer science or a related field; must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's license; must have previous experience in supporting Industrial Control Systems, PLCs, HMI, Drives, and various industrial equipment controls; must have previous experience in MS SQL Database support, programming, and administration; must have previous experience providing end user support; and must be able to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.


Preferred Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications: Preferred applicants have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with completed college level course work in computer science or a related field; have at least two years experience in corporate network and systems administration; have experience working with hardware and programming software for SCADA systems and PLCs; and have industry certifications such as MCP/MCSE/MCSA/CCNA/CCNP/EI.
